🧠 Devotional
In Psalms 86:12 (NIV), it says:
“I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.”
But what does it actually look like to glorify God?
Glorifying God means showing how great He actually is.
In 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV), it says:
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
So it’s not just big, spiritual moments. It’s everything.
In Matthew 5:16 (NIV), it says:
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
So it looks like living in a way where people don’t just see you, they see something different, and it points back to God.
In Colossians 3:23 (NIV), it says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”
So yes, it includes giving your best. Doing things with effort, with excellence, and with intention, not for yourself, but for God.
And if you really break it down, glorifying God isn’t just about doing things, it’s about how and why you do them.
In 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV), it says:
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
That means even the smallest things, like eating or drinking, can glorify God depending on the way you do them.
And in Colossians 3:23 (NIV), it says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”
So glorifying God also looks like giving your best, doing things with effort, with care, and with intention, because you’re doing it for Him.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being intentional.
It’s not about being the best in the world, it’s about giving your best in a way that honors Him.
So the point of today’s newsletter is this: glorifying God looks like living your life in a way that shows how great He is, in everything you do (big or small.)
