📖 Verse Of The Day

— Galatians 6:7-8

Preparing For Surgery? Don’t Ignore Recovery
Most people spend weeks preparing for surgery itself — but very little time preparing for recovery afterward.
The healing process places major nutritional demands on the body, increasing the need for nutrients involved in tissue repair, immune support, collagen formation, and recovery.
HealFast was physician-formulated specifically for pre- and post-surgery nutritional support with targeted vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, and recovery-focused nutrients designed for the healing process.
If you have an upcoming procedure or are currently recovering, recovery nutrition may be one of the most overlooked parts of the process.

🧠 Devotional
Have you ever thought about this?
Do you make decisions based on what you want right now… or based on what you’ll want later?
Because those are usually not the same thing.
In Galatians 6:7–8 (KJV), it says:
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
What this means is this. Your choices don’t just stay in the moment, they show up later.
You can do what feels good right now, what’s easy, what sounds fun, what gives you something immediately. Or you can do what you know you’ll actually be glad you did later, even if it’s harder in the moment.
And that’s where it gets real, because in the moment, the easier option usually wins. It feels better, it’s more fun, and it’s right there. But a lot of the time, it doesn’t last.
The verse calls it “sowing.” You’re planting something with your choices, and whatever you plant now is what grows later.
So if you keep choosing what feels good in the moment, that’s what your life starts to look like. But if you choose what actually matters, even when you don’t feel like it, that builds something different.
And in the moment, it doesn’t feel like a big deal either way. But over time, it adds up.
And the Bible points this out in another place.
In Hebrews 11:25 (KJV), it says:
“Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.”
That word “season” matters, because a lot of things that feel good right now only last for a season.
So we should take away this from this verse: don’t just make decisions based on what you want right now, make them based on what you’ll actually be glad you chose later.
