📖 Verse Of The Day

🧠 Devotion
Revelation feels scary to a lot of people, but the book actually tells you exactly what it is about. Revelation chapter one verse one says it is “the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Not the revelation of fear. Not the revelation of the end of the world. It is a book that shows Jesus clearly, fully, and victoriously.
The first truth you need to know is this: Revelation was written to encourage believers, not confuse them. Revelation chapter one verse three says, “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy.” God promises a blessing to anyone who reads it. That alone tells you Revelation is meant to help believers, not stress them out.
Revelation also uses a lot of symbolic language. The Bible actually explains this inside the book. In Revelation chapter one verse twenty, Jesus tells John that the seven lampstands represent the seven churches. In Revelation chapter twelve verse one, John says he saw a “sign” in heaven. A sign is a symbol that points to something real. Revelation talks the same way the Old Testament prophets talked. Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, and Isaiah all use the same style. Symbols communicate big truths in simple pictures.
So what does Revelation really teach. What do we know for sure. Here are the clearest truths straight from the text.
Truth 1: Jesus is the reigning King.
Revelation chapter nineteen shows Jesus returning with power and authority. He is not weak. He is not defeated. He rules.
Truth 2: Evil ends. Completely.
Revelation chapter twenty says Satan is thrown into the lake of fire forever. Evil does not get the last word. God does.
Truth 3: God will make a new heaven and a new earth.
Revelation chapter twenty one promises a world with no pain, no death, and no tears. Isaiah chapter sixty five and Second Peter chapter three say the same thing. This is not symbolic. This is the future.
Truth 4: God protects His people.
Revelation chapter seven shows a huge crowd of believers standing safe before God. They are sealed. They are His.
Truth 5: God will live with His people forever.
Revelation chapter twenty one verse three says, “God will dwell with them, and they will be His people.” This is the final promise of the whole Bible.
Here is what Revelation does not give us.
It does not give exact dates.
It does not tell us who the Antichrist is.
It does not tell us to guess news events.
Jesus actually warns against trying to predict timelines in Matthew chapter twenty four verse thirty six.
Revelation’s main message is not confusing. It is hope filled and simple.
Jesus wins.

🙏 Prayer (Guided by ACTS)
When you’re not sure how to pray, A.C.T.S. gives you a simple path to follow: Adore, Confess, Thank, and Ask.
Adoration: God, I praise You for Your power, Your goodness, and Your promise to make all things new.
Confession: Forgive me for letting fear or confusion distract me from Your truth.
Thanksgiving: Thank you for the hope You give in Revelations and for showing us that Jesus wins.
Supplication: Help me trust You, stay grounded in Scripture, and lice with confidence in Your plan.
In Jesus name, Amen
